Hello

It is 9:00 AM on Thursday morning, the truck has been unloaded, we have stuff scattered all over God’s green earth (or at least that portion that belongs to Gretchen Shepherd’s condo!), I am sitting in an office with papers and books scattered everywhere having already addressed one crisis (gas smell in the pre-school area), and the sun is shining through the window.  A morning just like I like it – filled with the wonderful chaos of life and the incredible promise of new beginnings.

The gracious good-bye we received from our dear friends in Rio Verde has only been matched by the kindness that has already been extended to us by so many folks here at Bellevue First: bagels & cream cheese when we left in August and a Starbucks gift card awaiting our return, strong arms to unload the truck, willing drivers to navigate me to the U-Haul return, the incredible generosity of Gretchen & Tom Shepherd in allowing us the use of their condo while we secure our permanent home, tickets to the Seattle Women’s Choir … the list just goes on and on.

 Thank you … for the gracious welcome and more importantly, for the privilege and opportunity to serve here at Bellevue First.   See you in church!
