The Sophia Way - November 4th Fundraiser
Thursday, November 4th, 2010
The Sophia Way continues to grow to meet the needs of homeless women in East King County. There are many successes to report, as we have now housed nearly 35 women, with a goal to reach 48 by year’s end.
The shelter is full with a wait list, so we will begin to explore the possibility of moving to a larger place, one that could accommodate 20 overnight clients. This may not happen for quite awhile, but we wanted to keep you informed about our plans. Things look very promising for fundraising next year; however, we are facing an operational budget shortfall for the remainder of 2010 that we will be fundraising events.
Please mark your calendars for our fundraising luncheon on Nov 4th, 11:30 am—1:30 pm, at the Red Lion Hotel. Craig Rennebohm will be the keynote speaker, with Brad Goode, King 5 anchor, as emcee.
If anyone would like to join in these efforts, please contact Helen Leuzzi at 425-417-7575.
