Adult Education

The FCC Forum adult education program is scheduled from 9:30-10:30 most Sunday mornings. The sessions are presented by a variety of persons recruited by the Adult Ed Committee, including outside experts on many topics and church members with an interest or specialization. Class series may span several Sundays. The commission also plans and coordinates the four-week Lenten series on Wednesday evenings.  Please check the Monthly Calendar for upcoming events.

An example of FCC Forum events includes the Jesus Seminar on the Road, presented by members of the Westar Institute.  Ours featured lectures and discussion about “Jesus in the First and Twenty-First Centuries” About 130 people attended from all over the Northwest. The presentations were enthusiastically received, including a youth-oriented session about how modern scholars study Jesus, entitled “Would the real Jesus please stand up?!”
