Education Groups

Adult Ministries Education Committee

Plans a wide range of educational enrichment classes for adults, primarily during the Sunday morning Discovery Hour.

Children’s Ministry Committee

Works with Director of Children and Family Ministry to develop a strong church/home connection, recruit and train teachers, conduct Parent/Family Nights and beyond-the-classroom social and mission opportunities.

Children’s Faith Formation Program

Children preschool through 5th grade join their parents for the beginning of the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The children are then dismissed to their classrooms where "Shepherds" and "Specialists" teach a flexible curriculum based on the Workshop Rotation model with activities tailored to each age group.

Education Commission

This group coordinates the faith-based classes within the church for all ages. It consists of several specific committees.

Junior High Youth Group

Youth in 6th through 8th grade and young 9th graders meet weekly for an educational and social time from 9:30-10:30 a.m.. They also plan an annual retreat and have several social events throughout the year.

Library Committee

Operates and maintains the church library, encourages reading and promotes books throughout the year.

Senior High Youth Group

Youth in 9th through 12th grade meet weekly from 9:30-10:30 a.m.. They have an annual retreat as well as a mission trip to Yakima working with Habitat for Humanity each summer.

Youth Ministries Education Committee

Works with coordinators to assist youth ministry including Sunday classes, Parent Nights, social, and mission activities.
