Social Justice Committee

Meeting regularly the Social Justice Committee identifies issues pertentinet to the community matching needs with the congregation’s interest.  During the legislative calendar the Social Justice Committee provides tabling forums for parishioners to write to their locate and state representatives to share their own personal opinion about the issue.  Having selected an area of focus the committe provides information about an issue and postcards to write to elected officials.  Setting up tables on a Sunday after service, the committee is able to help parishioners communicate their own views on an issue.  The Social Justice Committee along with the tabling concept has given the congregation’s voice a way to be heard.  Ways to help the committee are to be part of the focus decision making, working at tables on Sundays.  Meeting are normally after church on Sundays on a monthly basis.
