Emergency Feeding Program Committee
As an emergency feeding distribution center for the Bellevue area, our church welcomes community members in need. Between the hours of 9am and 1pm, visitors in need are greeted by our receptionist and receive grocery bags in varieties such as full family size, snacks, infant specific, special diet need meals, etc. In addition this program provides emergency resources such as bus tickets, local phone use, and emergency information.
The congregation can help by bringing food offerings on Communion Sunday, the first Sunday of each month. Powdered iron-enriched baby formula is always needed. For the specific food items of the month, look on our website and in the e-call. Your offerings are taken to the Emergency Feeding Program warehouse, sorted, and returned to us in grocery bags to be distributed as described above.
Outreach coordinates notices to the Congregation of needs, collection of items, delivery of collected foods, and policy for office distribution. Please feel free to give us a hand with this important outreach!
