Alphabetical Groups Listing
Sunday church services provide insight into what a church is like, but the real community happens at other times. When you share interest and passion with others of different backgrounds, you develop appreciation, understanding, relationships and community. Here are dozens of ways to do that…and even a way to start entirely new community groups.
This four-week soup and study program is held on Wednesdays during the weeks of Lent. A light supper of soup and salad is served followed by a scripture study and discussion session.
Operates and maintains the church library, encourages reading and promotes books throughout the year.
This group meets monthly on the second Monday (7:00-8:30 p.m.) at Bradford Center to discuss a previously chosen book. Open to all.
Coordinates efforts of the church to attract new members, assists with new member orientation, coordinates greeters and encourages participation in the life of the church.
Memorial Hosts support grieving families by working with the Pastors to manage the Memorial Services at the church.
Church members and long time friends are provided a simple Memorial Reception as a gift from the church after the service, if requested. Reception assistance involves setting up tables with food, serving during the reception, and cleaning up afterward.
Memorial Security committee members greet mourners and redirect strangers so that the Memorial Service, a sacred and fragile event in the life of the church, is not disrupted.
Educates our church and the Eastside Community about microcredit through our involvement in Oikocredit Support Northwest.
Do you like movies and want to join others in a discussion group? Rent the monthly featured film, view it at home, and then come to share your thoughts and opinions with others.
Multifaith Works AIDS Care Team
Our congregation has a care team formed to provide support for a person living with AIDS. This is part of a large organization to bring churches of all faiths together to help others in need called the Multifaith Works.

Neighborhood Community 1 gathers everyone living in the city of Seattle itself.
Neighborhood Community 2 - South of Newcastle
Neighborhood Community 2 gathers everyone living south of the Newcastle area.

This group meets weekly on Thursday mornings (9:30-11:00 a.m.) for a lively discussion of a previously chosen book. Open to all women.
