Safe Church Policy

Bellevue First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ (“Church”) is committed to being an inclusive Christian community. The Church takes seriously its intent to ensure that all who participate in church life can explore their relationship with God and each other as they seek to grow in faith and faithfulness in a safe, secure and nurturing environment.

As a community of Christian faith, the Church is committed to creating and maintaining programs, facilities and a community in which members, friends, staff and volunteers can worship, learn and work together in an atmosphere free from all forms of discrimination, harassment, exploitation or intimidation.  All persons associated with the Church should be aware that the Church is strongly opposed to Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Harassment and that such behavior is prohibited by church policy.  It is the intention of the Church to take action in an attempt to prevent and correct behavior that is contrary to this policy and, if necessary, to discipline those persons who violate this policy.

A copy of the policy is available here.
